What is DPDP awareness training, and why does your team need it?
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act makes every organisation a Data Fiduciary for the personal data it handles — customers, patients, students and employees. The DPDP Rules, 2025 require reasonable security safeguards, including organisational measures.

Is DPDP training mandatory?
The Act doesn’t name a specific course, but every Data Fiduciary must take reasonable security safeguards, and Rule 6 calls for organisational measures. Trained staff with completion records are the clearest way to show that.
Who in my company needs DPDP training?
Anyone who can see customer, patient, student or employee data, plus vendors acting as Data Processors. Light-touch roles get shorter paths; admins and IT go deeper.
When do DPDP obligations apply?
The Rules were notified on 13 November 2025. Consent manager registration starts 13 November 2026, and the core obligations — notice, consent, security, breach reporting and user rights — apply from 13 May 2027.
We already run GDPR training. Is that enough?
It helps, but DPDP differs: consent managers, verifiable parental consent for under-18s, Board-specific breach reporting and India-specific penalties. We map what carries over and fill the gaps.
Do you offer onsite training?
Yes. Live workshops run onsite across India or virtually, alongside the self-paced e-learning.
Is there an official DPDP certification for employees?
No. Neither the DPDP Act nor the DPDP Rules, 2025 creates an official certification for staff training. Our completion certificates record that a learner finished the course and passed its quiz — evidence of training for your audit file, not a government certification or a guarantee of compliance.
